How to record your voice without background noise
To record your voice without background noise, open Denoise, tap +, choose Recorder and tap Record: an AI model on your phone removes traffic, fans, wind and chatter while you record, so the cleaned recording is ready the moment you stop. It works offline, keeps recording with the screen locked, and nothing is uploaded.

Record clean audio in three steps
Open the recorder
In Denoise, tap + and choose Recorder. The first time, allow microphone access; your recordings stay on your phone.
Record
Tap Record and speak. Cleaning as you record under the timer means the noise is being removed live. Recording continues with the screen locked, and you can pause and resume as often as you like.
Stop and save
Tap the stop button, name the recording and tap Save & clean up. It opens already cleaned: switch between Original and Cleaned to hear the difference, then tap Share Cleaned or Save to Files….

Good to know
- The clean-up runs live on phones fast enough to keep up; on iPhone that means iOS 18 or later and recordings up to 10 minutes. Otherwise Denoise records as usual and removes the noise as soon as you tap Save & clean up, so you wait a little longer but get the same result.
- A phone call or another app that takes the microphone pauses the recording; tap Resume to continue the same recording. Everything is saved as you go, so if Denoise closes, the recording is back in your library the next time it starts.
- Your phone's own recorder works too: record there and share the file to Denoise (Clean up a voice memo). Recording in Denoise saves that step.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The AI model runs on your phone, so you can record and clean in airplane mode, and nothing is uploaded.
How long can a recording be?
There is no length limit. On iPhone, recordings longer than 10 minutes are cleaned right after you stop instead of while you record.
Is the original recording kept?
Yes. Denoise keeps the original next to the cleaned version; switch to Original to hear it.
Is it free?
Recording, cleaning and listening are free, with no account. Saving or sharing the cleaned recording needs Denoise Pro: $2.99 a month or $14.99 once (US prices, October 2026; the store shows yours before you pay).
