How to clean up a noisy WhatsApp or Telegram voice note
To clean up a WhatsApp or Telegram voice note, share the voice message to Denoise, tap Denoise and send the cleaned file back to the chat: an AI model on your phone removes the street, wind or café noise around the voice. Denoise opens these voice notes (Opus audio, .opus or .ogg) directly, so there is nothing to convert, and nothing is uploaded.

Clean up a voice note in three steps
Share the voice note to Denoise
WhatsApp on iPhone: touch and hold the voice message, tap Forward, then the share icon, and choose Denoise. Telegram on iPhone: touch and hold the message, tap Select, then Share. On Android, touch and hold the message and tap Share (in the top bar or the ⋮ menu).
Tap Denoise
Keep the default engine, AI · Auto, and tap Denoise. If the note sounds like a phone call, as many voice notes do, Auto notices and also rebuilds the high frequencies that the compression removed.
Send it back
Tap Share Cleaned and pick WhatsApp, Telegram or any other app. It arrives as an audio file that plays in the chat, not as a voice-message bubble.

Good to know
- Voice notes are heavily compressed. Denoise removes the noise, but it can't undo compression damage, and it never invents words that weren't recorded.
- View-once voice messages, and chats where saving or forwarding is restricted, can't be shared out of the app.
Frequently asked questions
What file types are WhatsApp and Telegram voice notes?
Both usually save voice notes as Opus audio (.opus or .ogg files). Denoise opens those directly on iPhone and Android, and M4A too, so whichever arrives works.
Will the other person see a voice message?
They get an audio file that they can play in the chat, not a voice-message bubble.
Can I clean a voice note someone sent me?
Yes, the same way: share it from the chat to Denoise.
Is it free?
Importing, cleaning and listening are free, with no account. Saving or sharing the result needs Denoise Pro: $2.99 a month or $14.99 once (US prices, October 2026; the store shows yours before you pay).
